Welcome to Touchstone Weimaraners' home on the web!
It all started with a Weimaraner named Riley....
I acquired my first Weimaraner in 2000. Riley was purchased as a hunting dog and entered in a field trial on a whim. With this dog, I picked up my first shotgun, and also became immersed in the myriad of activities that Weimaraners as versatile dogs can excel in.
I have been blessed with Weimaraners that have succeed in various competitive venues, but most importantly my Weimaraners are passionate bird dogs whether the quarry is chukar in Idaho, pheasant in Montana, or quail in California and Arizona.
My ideal Weimaraner is a companion hunting dog with proper conformation and aristocratic elegance; versatile in the field and in water; and a healthy, happy and reliable companion in the home. My hope is that any Touchstone puppy brings those around them as much joy and fulfillment as my dogs bring me.
If you are looking for a Weimaraner puppy, please consider that these dogs are high energy both physically and mentally, and need a great deal of time and attention. Please read about about my dogs and breeding philosophy to learn a little more about what my breeding program is about.
And feel free to drop me a line if you want to “talk Weims” to see if a Weimaraner is a good fit for your family, or if you have any questions at all about the breed.
